In the Gran Sasso underground laboratory of the National Institute of Nuclear Research in Gran Sasso, a great project called “Opera” is running, with the purpose to catch neutrinos in order to determine their mass, and during our long lasting collaboration with the society ImagingLab, we gave our little contribution to the nuclear physicists.
The receptor of particles collision events is made by a “Big Stack” of 65.000 bricks made of lead and photographic emulsion. Our task was to realise the measurement software to keeping track of the positioning data of every film layer of each brick.
